Well, if we're gonna be 'OT' and mention desired 90's cartoon licenses, I wish DT or someone would pick up James Bond, Jr., Bots Master, and Exo Squad. Plus that 80's Pinocchio cartoon for childhood ruining quotas. Oh, and that Canadian Arsene Lupin cartoon.

Hmm, Miss Beelzebub must be one of Aniplex' least popular titles if Discotek is the one getting it and not AoA.

So glad they found the dub masters for Mon Colle Knights! Another Urusei Yatsura film to add to the collection. Looks like they are starting to grab some USA shows now and they couldn't have picked any better shows to start with except maybe the other 2 Sonic series (they were short compared to the one they are releasing). Bunch of modern releases this time but I might pick up Honda-san since I've heard nothing but good things. More Lupin and City Hunter is of course good. Way to go Discotek!
EDIT:If Discotek could release 1 or 2 western shows I would love David the Gnome and/or The Cadillac Cats. |

If they can license Street Sharks, then I hope they can license Savage Dragon

Pretty jazzed about Lupin III: Part I on Blu-Ray with an English dub. But I'm absolutely thrilled that Lupin III: Episode 0: First Contact is coming out on Blu-Ray with an English dub. That's my favorite Lupin III TV Special. It's a must-have.

I'll probably be getting the Cat's Eye BD on sale. Still haven't finished watching the DVDs.

I'm not hugely interested in Mon Colle Knights but I'm really glad they found the dub. It's s shame when stuff like that gets lost and it's great for the fans. I wonder where they ended up finding it.
Is the Tales of Phantasia listing correct though? I could have sword that one had a dub. |

Whoa, the anime license that Discotek is picking up is interesting. Can't wait for Cat's Eye, and Galactic Gale Baxinger to be coming out. But what really surprised me in this announcement is that they're now branching out to 90's American/western cartoon, that wasn't what I expected . But seeing Street Sharks (a cartoon I grew up watching as a kid) getting a SD-BD release is something I never thought Discotek would be the one to release.
I wonder what other western cartoons could Discotek could pick up in the near future.
Uhh, I think MGM is probably the one that is handling the that particular IP over anything James Bond 007 IP including James Bond Jr (I too grew up watching that show and helped me become a fan of James Bond 007 when I watched Goldeneye, my first 007 film). I think it's very likely that Universal Pictures will be handling a possible future release of that show on DVD given that Universal is the current US distributor for the James Bond 007 films as of 2018. So I don't see Discotek being the one to release James Bond Jr.
Well if they're picking up Street Sharks, maybe and hopefully they can pick up Extreme Dinosaurs/Dino Vengers. I hope they can picked up Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, another 90's animated TV shows that has been almost forgotten by time. Also would probably help if Discotek can be able to release Dino-Riders, another forgotten 90's animated show. Also it would be nice if Discotek can probably secure a SD-BD release (and streaming rights) for Skysurfer Strike Force. Also recently, I was watching a Toy Galaxy video history on King Arthur and the Knights of Justice, and realized the last DVD release came out in 2010 and currently out of print/circulation. I would like to see that particular series to be pick up by Discotek given the series was a bit ahead of it times and also resemble anime when it comes plotline continuity and also the violence. Last forgotten 90's show that Discotek should look into picking up would be Princess Gwenevere and the Jewel Riders, given that it help inspired Avalon: Web of Magic which both of them were inspired by magical girl anime and pre-dated Sailor Moon's western mainstream popularity. I thought why not give King Arthur and Princess Gwenevere both indirectly influenced by anime a proper SD-BD release. |

Holy crap I want so many of these! I absolutely canmot waaaait! I love you Discotek, especially for dubbing even more Lupin! You guys are my absolute favorite publishers!
Perhaps we could expect dubs for the remaining specials which are not dubbed at all. Lupin III Part I & Episode 0, City Hunter 3 & '91, Angel Cop, You are Umasou, Baxinger, Cat's Eye and of course Urusei Yatsura!!! Perhaps even Mon Colle Knights, saw that a long time ago in Dutch. |

Wow, so much here to put on my want list. More Lupin III, City Hunter, and Urusei Yatsura movies are at the top of my list, as well as Baxinger. Dang, those shows bring back memories.
Here's an old license I'd like to see get a proper Discotek release: Space Carrier Blue Noah, aka "Thundersub" in its English dub. Created by Yoshinobu Nishizaki (Space Battleship Yamato), the series had limited syndication in the US, and the only Western home video release was a UK edition on VHS. Long overdue for a new edition. |

I'd buy that in a heartbeat. Do you think they could swing an HD remastered Blu-ray, or just an SD-BD release? |
