I was wondering if it would be a dual stream with Crunchyroll like Gridman, but I guess not.

Probably not correct but I wouldn't be surprised if it was made exclusive in response to CR snatching Nagatoro away from them. Funi was promoting Nagatoro a lot which made a lot of people under the impression they got the rights but nope that didn't happen.

Surprised to hear about the nagatoro news honestly. I really did think funimation had the rights to the show based on how often they did promote it.

To be honest I was expecting there was a lot of cross-licensing going on and Funi still got the dub license, but with the Sony deal not being finalized yet I guess that might not happen.

Eh, i think its just funi copying what CR does with anime news. The senior content marketing & editorial manager was looking for new writers about a month ago and in the last couple weeks they have been pumping out news articles on various anime, games, crossover events and other stuff. Two Nagatoro articles was just part of this new direction he's taking

The original Gridman was easily a decade or maybe even two or three decades ahead of its time. And then it lay dormant and forgotten.
I'd like to think the world finally grew up enough to match what the show was trying to do years ago.
But in any case, it's so nice to see Tsuburaya finally embracing what they created and crafting it into something new for new fans. I don't even mind that it seems to have almost nothing to do with original Gridman. That's fine. Nothing will ever change that show or take away from it. These are new ideas just like Gridman itself was a new idea years ago. The franchise has always been ahead of its time.

I wonder if Toonami will air it considering Gridman was put on the 2:30AM death timeslot.
