I think the intro needs to be updated to reflect that this article now summarizes the first half of the 3rd season as well.

I haven't seen any part of the show. However, looking at the graphics from the show I do have a question. Can anyone explain why their swords are scored like box cutters that have been extended all the way??

They're break-away blades because Titan necks are tough. They carry additional blades... again like box cutters because cutting at the back of their neck is the only sure way to kill them. And it's easier for them to go scouting with two hilts and a score of blades rather than a pack of swords.
So, yeah, they look like box cutters because they're box cutters.

I was afraid it might be something like that. Interesting concept for an alternative type blade. Of course it ignores the way a box cutter is designed to work and doesn't make much practical sense either. Oh well, artistic license I suppose.
