I read about this a few days ago, most people were annoyed that they included another version of Goku and others were angry that they acknowledged GT's existence.
To be honest I have a soft spot for GT, I watched the complete series, had the sticker album and I even had a Super Saiyajin 3 Kid Goku action figure. Maybe it's because I watched the entire series from the pilaf saga (most people where I'm from started watching DB from the beginning instead of starting from Z), so seeing Goku as kid again wasn't a huge change. I know many people expected kid Goku from the early chapters, but honestly the artstyle of the early chapters is very different compared to Z and Super, but GT is similar enough. |

Since they've already seen fit to make regular, Super Saiyan, and Super Saiyan Blue different characters, I wouldn't be surprised if they added Super Saiyan 4 to go with the GT kid version. To be honest, the big thing that kept me away from this game was that transformations are treated as different characters. For one thing, I think it is a lot more fun to choose when to transform, but there is also the fact that the roster could be filled with so many other characters that it seems like a giant waste to keep doing variants. |

Well, I'm glad the spirit of Dragon Ball kid Goku seems to be there as well. (I suppose you could call it Path to Power specifically given the shared design)

GT (kid) Goku has an extensive move set in universe, the actual kid Goku kinda doesn´t. That´s why this happened. Toei also likes to promote all the Dragon Ball they can sell, so don´t be surprised if Arale or Jaco end up in a sequel game or something. This game may have the best DLC fighter support of any fighting game to date btw. if i overlook the Goku bloat.
Babi, Syn Shenron and the 2 SS4s are well designed characters with solid abilities. I wouln´t mind seeing them in the future. GT´s music is good too but few of the tracks could work as game music. |

Looking at the screenshots the way Goku fights reminds me of him during the days of the original Dragon Ball (even though this Goku is from GT). It's nice to see him using the Power Pole again.
