It's due to Buriburizaemon returning for the first time in 16 years (though ANN says 9) on Shin-chan.

That would explain Shin-chan increasing, yet 8.3% is hardly exceptional for the series, not Sazae-san falling so much.

Wow... Very first time that I saw Sazae-san being dethroned from the No. 1 slot...

Ah yes, I've noticed that Yōkai Watch didn't show up... Perhaps it didn't have an episode airing on that week?

Yokai Watch's bubble has burst since there has not been any new yokai since 2 so its not as relevant anymore especially with Pokemon Sun and Moon coming which has revived Pokemon

Plus, with Yōkai Watch 3 on the way to being debuted in Japan, I'm sure it'll be back in the spotlight for a good while in the near future.

Clearly ratings are down with Yokai Watch. It was the most popular thing in japan two years ago. Hopefully YW3 is good enough to give the franchise a boost.
