Vertical Light Novel survey. Let them know what you want.

I would love for someone to get the Legend of the Galactic Heroes novels, as the odds of getting the anime are like, zilch. Otherwise, Baccano maybe?

Sucks that you can only suggest one title. I went with Toradora, but I'd just as soon have Durarara, Baccano and HakoMari

Maybe. But there is a simple reason and it is mentioned in the survey's notes... We are only likely two select 1 or 2 every year (depending on how long they are). Unlike Yen, we have no current plans to release more than 6-9 novels in a year. And Vertical already being a Japanese prose publisher (we release Japanese mysteries and sci-fi along with non-fiction) those books will take up around half that novel allocation. So there really is no point in getting millions of recs, when we really only need a couple of GREAT ones. More than the manga survey, this one will be an actual vote. The titles with the most suggestions will likely get pursued unless it is no longer available. |
