The 15,400-24,000 yen part is missing the $ value but rounding puts the amount at about $150.18-$234.03.

Hmm... Madoka's relevance as some intellectual "masterpiece" is gradually degrading as we continue to receive the barrage of body pillows and other bedroom items decorated with Madoka and Homura in various stages of undress, or clutching at each others' bodies in suggestive poses.

The curtain is adorable, but it's too bad you can't get a bed set that isn't themed after something specifically from that hot mess Rebellion movie.

As if merchandise has anything to do with a story's quality.

Just because the show has a lot of merchandise behind it now, shouldn't take away from the show's overall presentation. It's silly to think that, it's along the lines of "It's Popular, Now It Sucks" or because it has a lot of merchandising it's no longer "True Art"

I'm sure we've had these discussions going back a good thirty years by now.

All of this merchandise is coming at us with the explicit approval of the content creators, i.e. "artists" behind the show, and they are padding their pockets with the proceeds. I don't think it is bad form in any sense to criticize them for the type of merch they are flooding into the market. I mean, if Madoka was some kind of harem or rom-com show, I wouldn't criticize at all. However, it is hard to keep thinking about the show in the same terms when I see this type of sexualized merch.

And yet, that's how they hook us.

wrong way of thinking of thing. If you can't separate between merchandise and the show's presentation and story. that's your own problem. It has nothing to do with the show at all. They license out the right for merchandise that's all.

So I guess we no longer need spoiler tags for Devil Homura, eh? Is Madoka (and Rebellion) really that popular that all, the entire anime fans had already knew everything of it so spoiler tag is no longer put here?
But seriously, with Devil Homura and Magical Girl Madoka, it's much, much more unsettling than cute.
