With all the hoopla this series has, I'm surprised it took this long for a NA company to license it. I'm ready for the next water time.

I'm guessing that they might also have the first season as well, but they're probably saving that for AX. But yeah, they just earned another cash cow.

Seems like only second season. Still waiting on who gets first season. I know it's rumored to be Viz due to Neon Alley's hint but would rather wait for any confirmation.

I was very surprised by this news! Of course it was more surprising that no one had licensed it! But I certainly didn't think Funimation would get it! I am now almost certain that they will have the first season as well...
Now if only all the people who were asking for it, actually purchase it, the series will make Funimation a lot of money! |

I kind of doubt that The second season would go to a different licensor than the first. --That just doesn't seem like .... how business works

A nice change of pace, for Funimation. Too often does their fanservice come from the shallow end of the pool.

I screamed. FINALLY Free! is coming stateside! Still it's strange that it's only the second season (and it's not even out yet), but maybe they'll announce the first season too like another said here. I sure hope so! It just seems too weird to do the second, but not the first.

If anybody's going to the FUNimation panel at AX this year, by all means, *ASK THEM* if they have the first season as well!!
Their Q&A's are filled with way too many stupid people asking redundant questions about Attack on Titan and DBZ and not enough folks asking questions that actually matter.

Thats...actually really surprising. I fully expected this to go to Sentai or Viz since they seemed rather coy about it. Has Funimation gotten a KyoAni title before?
At least this means it will have a solid dub though, so I'll at least check it out. |
