Outlaw star manga - storyline differences

This thing is quite old, but I quess I should warn about spoilers.
Good day to all.
Several days ago I found some articles about manga Outlaw star and as I understood there are many differences between manga and anime. Unfortunately, only first volume of manga was translated in English. So I was wondering if somebody here could tell what are the differences in the storyline? For exemple, spoiler[does Hilda die in manga? Or does she try to kill Gen as well?]

So, there's this thing called spoiler code. Just type [*spoiler]around your spoilers[*/spoiler] (without the *), and it'll display spoiler[like this].
