All Gundam games inherently suck. Even the "good" ones. The reason being is because they all play like Gundam games instead of feeling like the actual mobile suit combat from the anime.
And despite this fact, there are people who spend (literally) tens of thousands of dollars a year to play these games... Oh, Japan.
None of the PS2 Gundam games was any good... from non-Gundam game standards, that is. Even the best ones (the VS series) only had one tactic... dodge until you can shoot someone as they land.

I've liked some of the Gundam PS game that were brought over, i'm more diehard Gundam fan i guess. Better ones were the verses and the Dynasty Warriors versions as in game play and animation.
I'm exited see the side stories coming around, i partially hope they'll be made into actual animations verse being only video manga/game.

Well I'm going to disagree with you because The One Year War is actually a good game.
But the real reason I'm going to disagree with you is because you aren't accurately describing the modern VS games. Since basically the Seed Vs ones they've become more and more twitch like fighting games. To the point now that they are about reflexes and actual combos. It's far more then "shoot when they land". They may not play like actual mech simulators, but I don't think most people care. Not when the games are extremely fun as arena fighting games.

That's my problem with them... they're more like fighters than proper mecha games.
And if you think you're good at VS games, never, ever go play at a Japanese arcade, because you will loose all self esteem in an instant.
But Senjo no Kizuna is the worst, because it totally fails to capitalize on it's hardware AND it's gameplay is awful.
One Year War must not have been that good, seeing as how they didn't bother releasing it in the US or on the PS3...

Never said you did.... just stating a fact. It's depressing to even try.
