Might wanna get it out quickly, 'cus recent H titles are probably even more likely to get scantalated than shonen titles. Or so I've heard.

Hah, it's about time I guess considering their concentration in erotic yaoi thus far. I wonder if they'll also offer an ebook (epub) version for project-h titles

Interesting, especially given that Icarus Publishing's Simon Jones appears have mysteriously fallen off the face of the planet and new Eros Comix Mangerotica line books are rare (at least they're still doing them, I thought the long silence after their first three right-to-left releases meant they were toast).

..... And Just when I was FINALLLY convincing my friends not all modern Japanese Comics are porn. Thans DMP....this really helps my stance.
Seriously though.....I don't know weather to laugh, cry or bash my head against the wall. Its stuff like this that makes me die a little inside. If I want porn I'll go out & rent a effin porno.....We don't need stuff like this in the world of comics/manga and we ecspecially don't need them localized in english. But on the bright side I can finally say DMP is dead to me, which isnt that big a deal I guess sense all i ever bought/wanted from them was Trigun. But yeah.....news like this its just sad. |

It might be if not for the fact they do so much more. I mean DMP is known for their yaoi and BL (via DokiDoki, 801 media and June manga labels) but they also publish stuff like Itazura na Kiss, Fafner, Vampire Hunter D, artbooks like Flamboyant by Ugetsu Hakua (Burst Angel) and the Let's Draw Manga line of books, some of which I have and how I came to find out DMP has a heck of lot of stuff. They also run: http://www.emanga.com/ http://www.akadot.com/ http://www.dreamshoppe.com/ http://www.popjapantravel.com/ (remember the Oreimo and Togainu no Chi ANN contest?) The non-fujoshi hardcore side seemed to be only thing missing up until now. That's why I mentioned it seemed about time they had something like Project-H. I personally don't think they'll be licensing a lot of stuff for project-h but even if it flops, they still have many other manga, merchandise and services to fall back on.
please.. speak for yourself |

Some people don't like going out and renting a porno. Some people like reading porn manga. Does that make them bad, or worthy of your "bashing your head into a wall"? No, I don't think so. Just because you don't agree with some people's choices, you aren't ANY better for saying you'll go out and support an industry that harbors abuse to both genders, not to mention spreads STDs from person to person like wildfire. Seriously, buddy, if you don't like it, don't buy it. Nobody told you that you had to. On topic, this is pretty nifty news. While I must confess I'm not all that into porn at all (tends to be relegated to looking at H with my ladylove), it's nice knowing that explicit stuff aside from yaoi will be readily available. Nice job, and Godspeed, DMP. |

That doesn't seem to make any sense to me. Out of hundreds of English manga being printed a year, 3 eromanga in English means all manga is porn? Either you or your friends are reaching absurd conclusions. Anyways, I'm extremely glad over the news. Icarus is sorely missed. |

... I was speaking in hypotheticals... I don't support ANY porn industry. I was just saying we don't need such things localized in the US.
But then again I just have a rabbid passion for comics (from all around the world. ) and hate to see them used for things like this. |

Actually we do need some of it localized in the US. Some of us do like these types of manga. Then again I do support the porn industry. |

Assuming that it's a competently-made book and not over $20 (unless the quality of the book warrants it), - which I'm going to assume will be the case - then I am THERE for Shocking Pink!.
I'm a big fan Riosuke Yasui's art style. |

I'm quite sure the pornographic titles far outnumber the non-pornographic titles, 100% sure if you include Dojinshi, but also without. I don't read them and only see them in comic stores, but there are lots of them. They are just less prominent and even less are published abroad. |
