So I've seen topics on this forum about Speed Grapher and Trinity Blood, but no one has mentioned Basilisk. Is anyone else looking forward to this series?
I've been craving a swordsman-anime for a while now, so I'm really looking forward to this. Besides the synopsis, I haven't really heard anything about this series though. The tournament story promises several battles, and the love story also has me interested. Can anyone tell me what they thought of the series? No Spoilers please.
Does anyone know what the special edition, or is it box set, will contain? FUNimation, AoD and RightStuf have nothing on it, as far as I know.

Well, I'm looking forward to it as well, though unless there's an artbox I'm going to wait for the eventual boxset. It looks good though.

i really liked this series. if there's any real complaint i had, it's that it had too much fanservice. the art also looks kinda bad in some places. that aside, the plot is really good.

I saw part of Basilisk, and I really want to finish it. The battle scenes and characters designs are crazy, but still good. This is one of those shows where you think it's great or you don't. However, I recommend it to any martial arts fan.

I saw the first episode in this series and it was really my thing. I mean it seems like a cool Ninja series like Ninja Scrolls, but I don't know. I will probably buy the first volume and see if I like it after that. Otherwise, I just skip this series.
Till next time,

The first volumes of Spped Grapher and Trinity include a box and are the sam price as Basilisk volume 1, so I believe it will come with a box. The following LE volumes are only $5 more and seem to contain trivial extras. The Speed Grapher DVDs include an artcard, and what appears to be a slipcase. The Trinity Blood volume one includes tarot cards and a 24 page booklet. I've always enjoyed the Funimation inserts in Fullmetal, Burst Angel and Samurai 7 so will buy the LE editions. I wonder if this is an elaborate experiment to see if people are interested in non-disc extras, or if they are testing the waters for a better price point. By choosing which version to by you are sending a message to Funimation for either better, or cheaper DVDs. Likewise I wonder if Bandai's DVD sales have gone up with thier cheaper new releases.
