The Kanon video link has an extra <br/> on the end of it--when you reach the 404 error page, delete everything after the .wmv extension.
[speculation edited] Honestly, I think one reason why Kanon hasn't been licensed is that the art is a little dated/off; combined with high licensing costs and Kanon's status as a game-based/weird/niche series, that art may have been a deal-breaker. *After seeing it, I can say that it's a real improvement...all the girls look similar but updated, and Yuuichi looks considerably less strange than in the original version. It also seems like the storyline will proceed in the same way, because the text lines had the same "A dream... A dream without an end... the dream I see every day" lines that were used in the episode introductions. I'm looking forward to the fansubs on this one-- not to blaspheme against ANN's philosophy, but I'm still not holding high hopes for an R1 license. |

Not completed yet.  The automatic ("green") link redirects to the original Kanon (#313), not the new remake (#6431). It has to be corrected manually -- same applies to all those different adaptations and remakes.

No, as I'm getting older and older, I found it more and more difficult memorizing all those 6000+ numbers.

Geh! Someone actually registered with the name "Ayu Tsukimiya"! 
If nothing goes wrong, it would be much better than the old one by TOEI, according to the short preview video. Having 24 episodes gives enough room to develop stories with all five female leads. Furthermore, while the TOEI version never gave me the feel of a chilling winter, the short video (animated by the same team who gave us AIR) showed me not wind, not gust, but BLIZZARD. Brrrrrrr! |
