I wonder what are the odds are of Sentai / Section 23 getting these two episodes. The series was surprisingly fun. Maybe if the first series sold well enough for them they would consider dropping a couple more eps onto another dvd.

"will not aired", "will not televised"...wow, someone needs to edit this article.
Back on topic, anyone think this has something to do with the new censoring law?

I'm gonna be QQing for awhile after this announcement. The fact that it is indeed only 2 episodes AND I won't even be able to see one for awhile, if ever.

No, I do expect 2nd episode to be aired on ATX or DVD soon. This law won't be vague or a threat to whole anime creativity.

Correct. I has nothing to do with the new bill. I suspect this of being a marketing ploy at its best. Seeing that Kampfer seems to be gaining alot of momentum a year after it finished airing its first 13 episodes. I mean its interesting. The Japanese reviews for it back in late 2009 were fairly negetive, and the ANN staff themselves were pretty hard on it. Most people were sure it would fade away into obscurity by mid 2010. But to everyone's suprise, the DVD sales were impressive! So impressive that Section23 went for broke and agreed to take TBS's offer for a quick sub US release, which I hear is doing quite well.

People just don't understand great comedy when they see it.

Traps? There's no traps, reverse or otherwise, in this show.

If by "most people" you refer to "critics at large" yeah, no doubt, that I why I no longer care about what critics say, they think they are so wise that just because they like something everybody must/will like it. Same thing happened with Koihime Musou, if you ask the critics they would only say bad things about it but I can bet there will be a fourth season announcement this year.

I'll take you up on that bet.
While the first season of Koihime Musou sold pretty well, both Shin and Otome Tairan sold rather poorly. For instance the first vol of Otome Tairan sold just 2.5k copies combined BD/DVD. For comparison, the first vol of Kampfer sold double that amount.
Anyway, this makes sense. They don't want to broadcast it all because they want otaku to buy the BD.

I agree to that. Critics are rarely are right when it comes to most underrated anime reviews. ANN slammed "Aika 16" and I went out and brought it. I watched the Dirty Pair collection, and found Carlo Santos review to be 100% WRONG. I just finished watching the first epsidoe of Kampfer on TAN and now remember why I enjoyed it so much when I watched it on Sky7 back in early 2010. I'll definetly pick it up later this year.

Folks, just because a certain show happens to click with you doesn't mean the reviews are wrong or that the reviewers don't know what they're talking about, it just means you have conflicting opinions on what makes a good show. The user ratings here on ANN sit between "so-so" and "decent" making the viewer reaction just a little bit better than an average rating. Going by the bar graph nearly as many people disliked it to some degree as liked it.
Personally, while I watched the entire series I couldn't find anything redeeming enough to actually call it any good (my actual score was "bad"). I continued watching because I thought there would be something redeeming about it to come, but there was nothing about the show that really clicked with me. Eventually I just watched because I had gotten so far I didn't want to leave it unfinished since I wont rate something I haven't completed. It happens, it's not exactly a big deal if people have a difference of opinion. Reviews are objective, not definitive.

Does Kämpfer für die Liebe continue off from season 1?Or are they just some filler episodes. What are you going to do with only two episodes?
