I was curious if anyone knew what the status of D*N*Angel was in Japan. According to the Encyclopedia, Sagasaki stopped working on D*N*Angel at volume ten, which came out almost two years ago, even though there's a clear cliffhanger at the end of the tenth volume. TOKYOPOP only has information up through volume ten as well, so I was wondering if Sagasaki had put the series on an X/1999 type "hold" or if there was another reason attributed to its status?

Volume 11 recently came out in Japan (within the past several months, if I remember correctly). I think the volumes are just coming out very slowly, and since the US release has caught up with the Japanese release, it's going to be a long waiting game between volumes.

Dunno how long the series is going to end up being, but Yukiru Sugisaki seems to be working on a lot of series simultaneously, which probably has a lot to do with the slow progress in D.N. Angel

I think it's going to take a long time, since the English manga has caught up with the Japanese.

Like everyone was saying the 11th volume cmae out in Japan only a few months ago. The reason for the long lengths between volumes was in fact due to Lagoon Engine Einstratz, which recently came out in amenrica, published by ADV. She also stopped this story off at a cliffy, but I think she is hopefully going to connect it with Lagoon engine which only has 3 volume and also ends at a cliffy. I just hope she finishes all her series. As for D N Angel there is a great website that has good summaries of the latest chapters of D N Angel staight from Japan. I will look up the wbsite and post it here once I find it. If not send me a message if you want it and I will send you the link.

What?! I was so hoping to be finished with that series with this last volume. It did seem like the series couldn't possibly have finished in one more volume since reading nine.
