Initially I wasn't interested in this one but after looking at the trailers it looks like it might be a sweet little slice-of-life show so I think I'll try it out. I mean hey, it's free, why not?

Had thoughts on the translation of the title: I came up with something like "The Color of Blooming Flowers"
Anyone else have a better translation?

My quick stab at it is "The ABC's of Blooming", iroha referring to the traditional alphabetical order. Since her name is Ohana I guess its about her coming of age? (maidens blooming and all that)

I might check it out just because I like the traditional aesthetic. Smile

they have 3 characters intros up already

This anime could be the best of the Season.
One of those anime that has no story, but its blu-rays sell like hotcake.

Interesting, your comment reminded me of Mizuiro Jidai which literally means Blue-Green Age (as in a coming of age story about those still green with youth). Because of that anime, whenever I see iro it always makes me think of referring to color, but you're right iroha means "the basics" or "ABC's."

Personally the phrase "the ABCs of" anything I would never use in writing, just feels awkward; but the basics/fundamentals/etc manages to sound worse. :-/ If I was to market the show I would rename it entirely (add a romaji subtitle for the hardcores to recognize)

It kinda irritates me how CR doesn't translate many titles. I imagine myself of a few years ago, flipping through titles and having no idea what they are about. That's not authenticity, its just annoying.

Lol. Maybe. But there does appear to be some drama in PV 3 (Ep 0.75) with Tsurugi looking serious and when she gets slapped back-handed by Shijima at 1:43

They also confirmed "My Ordinary Life" today. However, their news post mislinked to Lotte no Omocha, including picture. So it looks like both of those are confirmed. They've since fixed the mislink but the main page still says "My Ordinary Life" with a picture from Lotte no Omocha.

That has also since been corrected.

Either no one at ANN is awake yet, or they have decided to wait on reporting the news until the next announcement is made at 9 AM PST.

Looks like you're right. I'm east coast so I've been up for awhile already.

The director (Masahiro Ando - Sword of the Stranger and Canaan) and artist Kishida Mel are two of my relatively newcomer favorites (and these anime designs actually really look like that original art which was my one disappointment with Soranowoto's adaptations of Kishida Mel's art which was a pretty decent show) so I'll probably check this out as a side show for their awesome work on these visuals, beyond the shows that I'm really looking forward to.
