Man, this is so disheartening to hear... Wish the best of his family and friends. Sad to see someone go the way of heart attack.
I do want to point out that Medame had ONE other voice actor, which was Kazuo Kumakura. He voiced him in several games of the games. |

Being one of the ONLY American Kitarou fans, this is dissappointing to hear.
Aside from those video games, I think he was the only VA to play Medama-Oyaji in each anime (as well as the live-action movies), which is why I was glad that Hakaba Kitarou used the almighty Masako Nozawa, as well as Chikao Ohtsuka. Too bad that anime will probably not get licensed, despite that the live-action movie did (which is probably only known by people who know the anime). |

He was also the voice of Shojo the monkey like man from One Piece and did the voice of one of the Ninku Men from Ranma 1/2.
But yes, it is a tragic way to die from a heart attack. May he rest in peace. As I really enjoy hearing him as Shojo during the Jaya Arc of One Piece. |
