From my basic Japanese lessons...

In this case, "Sen" is first kanji used in "Chihiro" - I suppose you could say it's like "Jo" in "Joanna" (kanji are pronounced differently when compounded with other kanji).

"Kamikakushi" means "mysterious disappearance" but the kanji used are "kami" (god/gods) and "kakushi" (hidden) so it's a bit of a pun since the place that Chihiro goes to is a place where "gods" go to relax - a "hideaway" of sorts.

"no" is a particle used to connect and relate nouns (or pronouns). The result is a noun phrase. X no Y means Y of X in a broad sense, and thus carries the meanings Y belongs to X, Y is a part of X, Y is possessed by X, Y has a characteristic of X, and so on, depending on the context (An Invitation to Contemporary Japanese, pp. 76, Yasu-Hiko Tohsaku, 1994).

So finally, "Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi" means, "The Mysterious Disappearance of Sen and Chihiro."

Hikaru no Go = Hikaru's Go

Hikaru is the main character's name and Go is a board game that originated from China.
