With the boxset coming out I was wondering if this series is any good and would like to hear different anime viewpoints. I know ANN has a review on it but I like to hear other peoples opinions because I dont always agree with their final ratings. I loved Soul Taker and Its unique animation I mean I love shading and there is not one scene in this anime without shading and I think ANN said bad stuff about the animation technique, anyway im not too fond of thinpack box sets as a collector they look weird on my shelf so Im wondering if the other Box is worth it. What is included in the box? I know a pair of panties but is that it?

The new boxset has been out for a month, and no, it dose not have the panties. You could ask David Willams form ADV if he has any more the next time you see him at a con.

First of all, Najica is spelled with a c, not a k.

Also, if you'd rather spend money on Vol. 1 w/ box because the thinpak collection looks wierd on the shelf, that's pretty strange. Wow, so the DVD cases are smaller. Wow, it will sit on the shelf next to standard cases and save space. That's a good thing.

I thought this was about the anime, not the spelling or what version of the DVDs he wants to buy.

So what if he wants to spend a few extra bucks on the normal DVDs insteed of the Thinback. Is that something to complain about?

If the commentary from the second volume is included in the thinpack comes with it, get it. It's pure comedy gold.

I was stating his mistake and my opinion. No need to get all uppity.

And, FYI, the thread IS about which DVD version he wants to buy. Pay attention.

All extras have been removed (as is normal for all ADV thinpaks). But that commentary was amazing. Mike and Andy are perverts. Laughing

I disagree strongly with the ANN reviewer. Really, an A for every aspect of the show including the uninspired music? Where's the wit and charm he's talking about? For every chuckle there was a matching groan because of the predictable jokes. And that sidekick... could they ever have come up with a more cliche-riddled story about an artifical life form starting to think for itself? Even the pantyshots that are part of Najica's "appeal" eventually start to bore you, making you wish they would get over it and get on with the story instead. Which unfortunately wasn't a very good story to begin with.
Well, at least the art was above average.

And there was also something about most of the world being flooded, but they pretty much ignored that. I think that was just thrown in at the last minute to make it look like Tokyo-3 or something. Confused

It was an okay show, entertaining but nothing spectacular. The story, which didn't really go anywhere until like episode 9, isn't the best, and the ending is kinda lame. My advise is If you want it pay the least amount of money for it as you can, so the thinpack collection is the way to go. That's what I did.

I really hate thinpacks and um by the way rightstuf always puts their old DVDs on sale when thinpacks come out so each DVD would only cost me 7 dollars and the box set 10 dollars so im looking at a total of 24 dollars plus 6 for shipping so only 30 dollars including the regular cases and boxset with panties while i dont know where i would find the thinpacks I've only seen them at suncoast and they sell retail price at 40 dollars.

I bought the RahXephon thinpack and I think it looks like crap on my shelf it looks funny and everytime i get a box set, complete or volume 1 only, i remove them from the actual box so the thinpacks look funny and I have a lot of room to spare so dont worry about me wasting space. I keep hearing the extras are removed from thinpacks but what does that mean?RahXephon had interviews, previews, and clean opening and closings what was it missing?

I´ve only received like 2 actual comments on this series from ANN review i want to get it but i think most people dont care much for this series.
