Also, when are FUNimation going to get around to releasing the first series?

the only reason I can think of why they haven't released it by now is because they are waiting for the second OVA to be released.

I wonder if this will be a summer or fall title. Hopefully it comes out this year.

Guessing they're wanting to get that OVA in May out of the way before the new season.

Interesting-- I don't know anything about the second season yet really, but "Zenobia" is a historical figure and a warrior-queen.

I call BS on this seeing as how there's far worse titles released and in print here. Laughing

Obviously you have never read the light novels. The plot with the many gods and factions are interesting and complicated.

Some titles take a very long time and some don't. HS DxD would've been out by now if they applied the same scheduling as Freezing. Makes me wonder about how Funi decides or prioritizes or if the licensors impose certain delays.
