Too bad this entire thing has failed before it even started. First off, no custom decks? That makes the entire thing crap, AND if that weren't enough, no online play. I don't know what they were thinking and it appears they weren't.

I remember I used to love the Yu-Gi-Oh! games on Game Boy Advance because every card that was ever made had a code on the bottom that let you put them in your game, which let you make your own custom decks or your actual deck in real life. This was pretty damn cool. The only sad part is when Konami started making the tournament games, they made you earn your own booster packs in game only (they all do), but it didn't have an option to put your own cards in the game. No to mention the game would start you off with a crappy deck, and make you suffer through long drawn out duels just to get a few new cards. In other words, these games sucked.
This is probably why I stopped playing YGO video games and YGO altogether many years ago. I'm glad Pokemon is going this route, and having it on PC. Though, having it on a portable console with DLC (for new cards) would be much better though. |

As they mentioned, it's a way for players to learn the game. Also, you win cards, so they must be used for something other than trophies. Also, this is just beta, so who knows what will come. |

And no Pokemon TCG for the DS? IIRC, the last one (US version) was released on the Gameboy Advanced.

Probably not going to happen since the traditional way of doing Pokemon(the handheld games) brings them the money they desire. The Pokemon card game seems to just serve as a "sample" of sorts for the real one. I wish it was similar to the TG video games. |

Nintendo would easily recoup the money they'd lose from me not buying a 3DS because they'd rather use arcane forms of market management with region blocking if they did Magic the Gathering Online with the Pokemon TCG.
But they'll never do that. Because Nintendo hates my dirty non causal limey money. |

exactely. it's still in the testing stage , but it could be the start of something interesting. As a pokemaniac , I'm definitely into this. Though it could be a double edged sword cause if it get too popular it could hurt the TCG game when it main goal was to help beginners of the game. Though i wonder when will it have the same thing for the yugioh TCG cause too many beginners are mistaking the rules in the anime & in the game itself as the same. I too made that mistake during it beginning and cost me dearly. here's hope that this project will become as successful as the game , which by the way I am heading to nintendo world in New York City which is where I live to get my versions of Black & White |

You expect there to be a DS game only for the card game? Only if the card game were the main focus. It takes a lot of time to make a DS card video game, hence why Konami only makes 2 a year. |
