I wish they'd get this Trigun movie done already.
Then maybe we can get some sort of Trigun Ultimate, like with Hellsing and Fullmetal Alchemist. If any manga needs a reanimating, it's Trigun. |

Is it still supposed to be out some time this year? Haven't really heard much about it since it was announced a few years ago except that it was supposed to premiere in 2009.

So is this a new story or Ultimate-esque? Either way, at least it won't be a "summarize episodes #1-n" compilation movie.

Well, considering Wolfwood entered the original anime series at episode 9, and left it at about 23 or 24, and that the first 4 episodes were all filler not found in the manga, I'd say this new movie has a really good chance of more or less following the manga, perhaps minus the B.D.N. saga aboard the train.
But then again, if the main bad guy IS Wolfwood (spoiler[instead of Knives]), it almost seems like an alternate-reality storyline that doesn't follow the manga...or anything. If this does really well, then the chances of the Maximum manga series being animated increase greatly! |

Evil Wolfwood? Yay! Any Wolfwood makes me happy. I wonder what they'll do for the English dub, since Geneon is gone. I hope Johnny Bosch will reprise his role as Vash, bringing back the English cast, if certain characters are in it would be awesome.
