So I've been meaning to pick up Trigun for a while since I found out my copy was a bootleg (I bought it when I was young and foolish, never considering the fact that bootlegs would be rampant), and have stumbled across the great RightStuf sale in which the six Trigun Remix DVD's are up for $10 each.

My question is, will I find a better price if I continue checking TRSI / RACS / Amazon (Not marketplace) over the next few months, or is this as good as it gets? I would appreciate the input of anyone who's bought or checked on the price of Trigun over the last year or so.

Thanks in advance!

Considering the title, that is a pretty decent price for those DVDs. Especially also when they are no longer being manufactured right now in North America. Don't try to find them at a brick and mortar store because they will only be more expensive. So far, what you're finding online is looking like the more promising deals.

Well, it's my opinion that any amount of money for Trigun is great. It's just a great series. Alas though, that's just my inner rampant fanboy talking.

Still, 60 bucks is very good. It's an older series but also a very popular one and you're getting the individual DVDs, not a thin pack. (I don't believe there is a thin pack either so that's not really an option.) It's really highly unlikely you'll be able to find a series like that new for much cheaper than $10 each. You have to keep in mind that it's no longer in print so you don't really have forever to shop around for it. Copies are going to become increasingly scarce.

I just bought this within the last year, and I think I paid $15 a disk, so yeah, get it! I agree with ikillchicken, I love this series, so it's well worth it.

I never was very fond of Trigun-but I totally agree that with a lot of older stuff you should jump on it when you see it or lose out-I was able to score the 1st 7 dvds of Cardcapture Sakura for almost free because somebody at a local used dvd store didn't know what they were-lucky me.

No, I don't think so.

Would you care to tell us why? Or do you think your opinion is so authoritative by itself that people reading this thread will see all the other, "Yes, it's worth it" responses and then change their mind just because you said it's not? My opinion doesn't carry that much weight either, but that's why we have the forum rules demanding "detailed answers to questions."

If you've decided that Trigun is intrinsically worth buying, then yes, I'd say $60 is a good price. I shelled out around $90 two years ago for the LE collections, and that was with one of them for $30 in TRSI's Christmas sale. You really won't get much cheaper than $60, unless you try hunting down the old 8-disc singles release on the used markets. The ReMix DVDs are good enough to be worth paying slightly more for, especially if you're getting them new from TRSI. And considering that this show is from the release era when $200 was common for a 26-episode anime, $60 is a pretty good bargain.

I work at FYE and we get a ton of used DVDs in stock, and I just came across the first two discs of Trigun Remix, and snapped them up. I've been hearing great things about this series for a while, so I took them home and watched them both and fell in love with the series. Problem is, I couldn't find any of the other discs, UNTIL NOW.

I don't know why I don't think to check RightStuf more often. But I almost always forget the website exists.

Thanks for this post showing me where I can get these discs!

$60 is not bad at all. Only better deal I can see is if you got them used but it would still probably be around that price. If I didn't have them, I wouldn't mind paying that price for them.

I got extremely lucky on my Trigun Remix set. FYE was having their Buy 1 Geneon Get 1 Free sale and I picked up the ones that came in the tins with the LE extra... only thing was that they were already 50% off so I picked up the complete season in 2 sets for about $35, No tax because I had their 10% off discount card.
