Well I guess this news won't surprise anyone. =)
I'm just glad we now have a date to wait for, and hopefully we'll get more good news from Sentai Filmworks regarding X Hoshimittsu in the next few months.

Why does the article talk of a "mini-series"? From the source post, it seems to be the same kind of special as the other two Hidamari Sketch seasons got. That is, a two-episode OVA.

The previous specials were not OVAs but television special mini-series. They aired in Japan across more than one night.

2 episodes, 48 minutes...same thing really

Two episodes broadcast on two consecutive Saturday nights does not make it a "mini-series" I think. That phrase implies several more episodes at least.
