This game has a long history of using animals. abunai, Dorcas and myself have used animal pictures in the past, and that's just off the top of my head. I know that in my case the picture was a transformation, and I'm not familiar with the other two characters, but I think 1 is an animal shaped character like Luna, and the other was a run-of-the-mill dog. I don't see why they should be banned.
EDIT: OH! Also, somebody used a goat. I forget who. |
|
My animal picture was only used in the mini-game, specifically because it was a generic animal and not a character.

Hm, can we have another hint or 2? And a cup of tea too, if possible.

Ok, just got back from work, expected someone to get it by now...
Hint 3: In this scene our mystery character is turning down the role of class president, a position she has no interest in; the only reason she was selected is because all the boys in class think she's hot - all that is except for the main character who hasn't seen her yet.
I'll post again in an hour or so.

Hint 4: She has little interest in typical teenager stuff because here robot half is fixated on it's mission - to destroy the millions of alien scum that have crash landed on earth. Her mission sanctions the use of any level of extreme force as necessary - thankfully for humanity her human half restrains her from using her full destructive power.

Ah! I've actually thought from the beginning that it might be this character, and that final clue clinches it.
Yayoi Kamishiro from Sadamitsu the Destroyer

Could that be the Freid Priest, who really is Zongi Zongi in disguise from Vision of Escaflowne?

The name of the priest he's imitating is Plaktu, but Zongi was the required name here and you nailed that.
And putting this pic up made me realize that I'm overdue for my yearly marathoning of this series. . .

That reminds me that I really need to watch Escaflowne again. I bought the box set a few years ago, but never actually watched it.

curses. When I finally decided to check this thread and an answer I knew others weren't sure of and I missed my chance. Had a funny one in mind too. *sigh* Hmm, I want to watch Sadamistu again.

I don't get it. Why would you make a habit of annually marathoning a series you only rated as Very Good? I certainly wouldn't bother marathoning a series which got such a score unless there was a huge amount of nostalgia involved . . . . . .

I didn't really think I was actually right, so I don't have a pic ready. Up for grabs!
