Nice to see the "classic old-school Final Fantasy" (uh, the PS1 era) styled RPG making a return in this title getting released. Thank you for this interview with the legend!!!

I know in the past he has said he doesn't want to...but I'm still going to hope he actually does eventually do a FFXIV collaboration, even if it's just a small event. Given the game's reverence for the classic titles, it would be quite fitting.

Yeah, I just re-read it and found out it came out in December, this is what happened if you're multi-tasking while reading the ANN article, sorry about that. And I just got chance to read about this game on Wikipedia, I didn't realize it came out on iOS and Apple Arcade back in 2021. Nice to see this game getting a console and Windows PC port. Also nice of Square Enix to help co-developed and published this title for the console and PC version. It must've been nice for Sakaguichi and Square Enix to work together again after leaving SE many years ago. |
