Ok... well first I'm confused as to why Vampire Kisses is considered a manga, but it's a very nice surprise to see it doing so well. Great news for the duo behind it.

Many lists use American comics that go under the name "manga". Tokyopop is notorious for labeling manhwa, manhua, OEL, etc., as manga, anyway...Basically, it's only companies and the like that tend to push the manga label on any comics from an Asian country or American comics that "look close enough". Of course, with the exception of some fans who either don't acknowledge manhua/manhwa or who make up their own definition.

As for the list, I'm happy to see Yotsuba doing well for Yen Press. They deserved it. Smile

Naruto vol. 46 hasn't been on the list for 12 weeks. It just came out on the 6th of October, so it's only been on for one week.

interesting to see Negima!?:Neo sell well

I mean I enjoy the Neo story but I know a lot of people who find the spin off art work to be far from great. At least the text isn't jam packed in to a page

I guess calling Karin Chibi Vampire paid off for Tokyopop after all! Razz

(Yes, I know it was selling moderately well beforehand regardless.)

And another top-seller for TP has ended.

I guess I'm behind on its ranking, but congrats to Yotsuba. I guess there is an audience here for that manga-ka's work after all. Dunno if Azumanga will find the same success for YP, though, considering it's already been milked to death.

As awesome as it is to see Yotsuba&! vol.6 in the top ten bestsellers, I almost vomited back out the dinner I just finished eating upon seeing Vampire Kisses vol.3 in the #2 spot.....

I would get back into Chibi Vampire for two reasons: romance and ecchi fun.

I'm glad to see Chibi Vampire in the top spot for it's final volume. I loved that manga (despite hating the name change). It's one of the only Vampire focused manga's I don't feel is complete garbage and actually deserves its success.

Also really happy to see Yotsuba & and Shugo Chara charting as well. I need to go run out and buy those.
