Gambit's my fave X-Men, too!
I was waiting for reviews of Maid-Sama! to come out. I guess I'll wait until I can get it as a lot on eBay. I think High School Debut 8 was really good actually. Lots of shojo manga end when the couple gets together. I think the whole birthday date episode was realistic (and funny). Both Haruna and Yoh set a great example for new couples, I think--always think of the other person! |

Up until about two weeks ago, I never knew a Samuari Seven manga ever existed. When I have time, I'll check out the first volume.

Your basketball analogy was horrible, you mistook fame and popularity for talent.
Kubo Tite knows how to come up with one fight and so every single fight is like that one fight. Also he does one rescue arc and about 5 volumes after he finished the last rescxue arc he starts a new one. In other words his the manga version of Frank Miller. Kishimoto once wrote a years worth of crap where the main character was that vagrant douchebag Sasuke. |

Um, I just want to say that having Logan learn martial arts in the manga isn't really japanophellia or whatever, in the comics he had lived in Japan for a while and learned martial arts, as well as meeting one of his love interests.
So it's moreso sticking to what the manga was based off of... |

A Samurai 7 Manga?! So we have a manga series based on an anime based on Kurosawa's film. Sorry, but an adaptation of an adaptation just doesn't sound like a good idea.
And if you''re going to do a manga story about an X-men character, wouldn't Psylocke be a much better choice? At least the ninjas wouldn't seem completely out of place. |

Well technically giving Wolverine a more martial arts background isn't too much of a stretch. He is a samurai. By yeah, with his healing abilities he really didn't need to perfect art of fighting as much as he need to perfect his ability and discpline to kill someone with one or as few strikes as possible.
Honestly I liked that character X-Man from the age of apcolaypse arc. Gambit is definitely in my top 3 for mutants though. He has a great power. |

It's funny. As a guy, I actually liked Maid Sama.
I thought of it less of a strictly girls comic and more of a humorous one along the lines of Ouran High School Host Club. Not the exact same, mind you, but somewhere close. I pretty much love Misaki's character, how off the wall her character gets sometimes, and the dialogue was pretty interesting. And the art direction was creative and spontaneous; I like the idea of having an unconfined layout, so to speak. As for Wolverine, it...looks interesting... Personally, an emo Logan does not appeal to me much, and adding particular manga elements to the story doesn't make it better. Frankly, there are some characteristics of manga I could do without. Heh-heh, Shugo Chara is definitely a guilty pleasure of mine. I don't quite know why I like it so much, but it's so cute and so upbeat that I can't stop reading it.

Same here. Nor can't I stop watching the anime either. I usualy hate fluffy cute shoujo series but SC wins my heart. Makes me feel like a little girl again lol xD Plus it has Ikuto. |

Maid-sama sounds pretty fun, I'll have to check that one out.
I also have this guilty pleasure for Shugo Chara. Both the anime and the manga. I just can't get enough of it. It's a typical magical girl shoujo series for little girls, but it breaks the trends in enough places to be enjoyable for more than just the target audience. |

Personallly, I found the original back cover synopsis for Gakuen Ouji and Maid-sama! MUCH more descriptive and interesting than the re-written North American version:
On another note, I had no idea Gakuen Ouji got licensed, and I had completely forgot Maid-sama! was coming out.
Although I agree that the bullying in GO can get pretty out of hand, I have to admit I find a society (or school) where the FEMALES DOMINATE is rather fascinating and unique. For KM!, I just adore how ironic how the main character is smart, athletic, tough and a complete feminist, yet is stuck working at a maid cafe due to fininacial issues. Absolutely hilarious and a MUST READ if people enjoyed Special A. |

i just got the first volume of Shugo Chara. it looks like a good shojo manga . im glad to hear its good . i like the right turn only!! reviews i read them alot !
