The japanese group Move is one of my favorite out of all the japanese artist. I believe they were on the initial D sountrack. They also got an initial d 4th stage soundtrack.
It's a three-person group. I guess thier style is Electrock also the title of thier album. "It's a mixture of electronic beats, sweet nice English mix with Japanese vocal done by Mako Satou(female) and a rap/rock vocal portion done by Kouichirou Iketani (male). The vocal really complement each other and bring a freshness to each song. All thier song are really good. Thier style kind of remind of Linkin Park in which many aspect of music is brought together to create an incredible song, one after the other. ![]() [album] Move - Electrock Move - Super Tune -Best Selections- [best song] Rage Against Your Dream Past Days Sweet Virbration Silent White What's your favorite artist. Please limit yourself to just one artist. I can't stand people who are unsure about themselves because they can't make up their mind. Put your thoughts together, pull your weight up and decide on your one favorite.. |

I can't say I've listened to many J-pop/J-rock artists. However, out of the ones I have heard, L'Arc~en~ciel is my favorite.

For me, my top J-pop/J-rock artist are Dir en Grey and Hikaru Utada. I also love the one singer hitomi who did the 2nd inu yasha opening. There's so many hitomis out there though that it's usually hard for me to find her cds.

Big fan of Aikawa Nanase and Shiina Ringo... as well as Hajime Chitose. L'Arc en Ciel is also quite nice.... As is B'z, but they're a bit older....

I'm a pretty big fan of Utada Kikaru, L'Arc en Ciel and Ayumi Hamasaki, while in the band area, Brillient Greens and Asian Kung Fu Generation. Sorry, I can't decide on just one.

I have a huge amount of love going towards Dreams Come True. Everything they do just turns to platnium in their hands. Miwa has one of the nicest voices I've ever heard. She covers so many ranges and styles, it's just really nice.
For solo singer, it'd probably be Ayumi Hamasaki. She has just the greatest singing voice, and very soothing as well. She's very pretty as well. ^^;. And then, I like ALOT of jpop and jrock artists. Too many to name. =P |

X Japan. Yoshiki has quite the talent to create very moving music and Toshi is one of my favorite vocalists.

I would have to say the pillows, even though their songs are really wierd but they sound good, and that's what counts right.

It's a tie between Do As Infinity, The Pillows, and The Brilliant Green.

Hmm... I haven't heard a whole lot by them, but I've enjoyed what I've heard of Porno Graffiti enough to pre-order these:
http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=SECL-87 and http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=SECL-88 Which are their "best of" compilation albums coming out in July. |

I've liked a couple of PG's songs. I've only heard a couple, though. merissa, lack, ...the other one that isn't rockish at all. come on. ai ga yobuhou e. i like 'em, but haven't heard much else.
i like ken hirai's ballads...but that's it. ZONE is pretty good, too. |

JUST naming artists...
I'd have to say Utada Hikaru for female and lately Miyavi for male. Bands would be L'arc~en~Ciel and Do as Infinity. I also like a lot of Malice Mizer! Gotten to be a bigger fan of Ayumi Hamasaki after I saw some more videos of hers and actually some of her commercials! She's a lot more unique now and interesting ![]() |
