Hmm, this almost sounds like a huge cameo filled video of some of Tezuka's more famous characters, all in one place. Didn't Treasure, Hitmaker, Sony, and Sega already do a cameo infused game for the GBA called Astro Boy: Omega Factor back during the 2003 series era?
I actually think this sounds like fun, for one thing, it's being made in Japan by Tezuka Productions aka people who respect Astro as an anime legend and not as a fountain of money whose name they have no problem sullying (like Hollywood does), and two, Treasure proved that cameo fests could both be interesting and done extremely well. I'm actually looking forward to this one honestly. |

I wasn't really aware the manga had an ending. I figured it just kinda...stopped.
Anyone care to summarize it? edit: On second thought, don't summarize it. If there is indeed an ending, I rather just buy the Dark Horse volume it's in and read it myself. |

I'm guessing the blue outfit is to flip off Capcom for "appropriating" the character for a certain robot character. Anyway, would this be the first children's cartoon character in which the company actually wanted people to associate a drug message from its imagery?

oh man! just saw that space rave video!
first off: thought it was much better than CGI Astro's trailer secondly: reminded me of Interstella 5555 thirdly: yep, I will be watching this. My inner Tezuka fan could not possibly not allow me to. Still, I think this could work out, and be awesome. |
