Not bad, not bad...but...re-release...?
This is new... What happened to Inglorious Basterds? Is he putting that on hold JUST for a re-release of Kill Bill...? |

Not to be a nitpicker, but you used "have" twice in the Tarantino quote when it should be used once...
I'd heard about this earlier today at Rotten Tomatoes, and I'm looking forward to seeing the new footage. I remember in the commentary on cut scenes from "Pulp Fiction" that he boasted that he'd never make a Director's cut because he made his movies exactly the way he wanted them. Well, he was thwarted on "Kill Bill," so I always figured he'd do a re-release on DVD or Blu-Ray of it in its original version (as one movie). |

I didn't much care for the Kill Bill series, but I can concede that the animated sequence was actually nicely done. I think KB was overhyped, overrated, and overly derivative, but at least it made no attempt to hide its inspiration from (read: wholesale theft of ideas from) super-bloody old OVAs.

Kill bill was actually pritty good. the first had me going. when it got to the secound one i just wanted to throw up it was the same as the first only bill was in it. i think that whole sereis would have done better as an anime honestly

Cool. Overall, I feel Kill Bill is so-so. But that anime segment was arguably one of my favorite animated action sequences ever. Probably second only to moments from Cowboy Bebop, or maybe Hellsing. It was sleek, stylized, absolutely beautiful. I wish actual anime would do stuff like that.
It's pretty safe to say that he did get his way. As one of the hottest directors out there, if he wanted to make an animated movie, he would have. Heck, the fact that they even let him make Kill Bill, as out there as it was, kinda shows he can do whatever he wants. |

The originality is in the presentation. I wish people would stop whining every two minutes that something is a "rip off" of something else. |

Everything is a rip off of everything else. Tell me, what was the first TRUE original movie in recent years? Um...recent decades? Hmm. Hard to say, ain't it.
Aww, GATSU...I mean Jenn. >:3 Not again. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7L2ukSJFgCM First you make a Jack Thompson out of yourself on TV, now you wanna take it a step further? |

Uh...Matrix? Even if it did rip something off, I'd be interested in what it was lol. |

its as much rip-off as KB...and GitS is just the most popular of them, there are a few more...for sure. But i like both KB and Matrix ( at least the first one ), so what as long as its entertaining and fun to watch |

Watch City of God and you see that Slum Dog Millionaire is neither original nor superior to that movie. |

Another segment? Would of been nice if it was an entire episode itself than just another add on scene. Disappointed on the news, but hopefully the added 7 minutes justify on picking up the title again since I just bought both Kill Bill movies on Blu-ray.
