Premise sounds like Among Us and Lily CAT.

I'm curious if they'll give the player character a name and design or just adapt it so that Setsu is the protagonist

My first reaction: huh!
But really, I'll need more information before I really can form a solid feeling of whether to be excited or not. I love the game, but the gameplay loop, story, and art style are going to be hard to adapt. Comet's "tattoos" will be a challenge, as will Raqio's feathers. But I think with some smart adaptational choices, this could be a decent version of the story
Seriously recommend the game to anyone interested in this. It's got pretty much everything you could want in a VN.

Cautiously excited for this one. Gnosia is one of my favorite games ever, and I really want it to be treated well. I'd say I have the same reservations as all-tsun-and-no-dere, as well as being a bit nervous on how they'll handle Setsu and Raquio's nonbinary identities.

The premise here somewhat sounds like one of those social deduction games.

That is correct! The gameplay often gets described as "single-player Mafia," which doesn't sound like it should work but absolutely does.

Cautiously excited! The game is super fun and I can see some ways of how to adapt it but other stuff leaves me stumped.

I'm wondering what the last shot of the person's eyes is--the eye color/eyebrow color don't match with any of the characters from the game, so maybe they're making up a character to represent the player? At any rate, I'm looking forward to seeing whatever they come up with, and not looking forward to people throwing fits over Setsu and Raqio being explicitly nonbinary.

Been meaning to play this game for so long, and haven't gotten around to it. It's always discounted on the Nintendo store.

yeah because Among Us invented this concept and it totally didn't exist before that.

It's honestly pretty weird to me how "Among Us" has somehow become the internet's touchstone for what counts as a social deduction game. The genre goes back waaay further than that.
Gnosia's mechanics are almost entirely based on Mafia/Werewolf, which has been around since 1986 and has served as the inspiration for countless other games. Gnosia is only like Among Us in the sense that they're both social deduction games that derive inspiration from a common source.

Something doesn't have to be the first to become the face of a genre. Dragonball is everyone's touchstone for battle shounen but plenty of series existed before it did. It doesn't help that series like Ring ni Kakero never had much success in America. Among Us is just the most iconic one in both success and pop culture memes so I doubt people know about games like Town of Salem or similar stuff.
