I'm soooo excited! Lead Cure is really adorable and she loves to sing, like me! I'm gonna LOVE this, it'll probably be near my top PreCures!

I was wondering when there will be a time Chiaki Kon will be directing a Precure TV series, and here we are now! It's still kind of amusing this not going to be the only idol-themed magical girl show this year.

Chiaki Kon being rightfully rewarded after managing to salvage Sailor Moon Crystal. And it's taken long enough for Toei to utilize their highly skilled CG animators for something other than EDs, the attacks in GoPri, and a few movies.

I'm sorry, but the CG attacks in GoPri looked terrible. I don't see how this is a good thing.

See any given Precure ED and the 10 years since then they've had to further hone their craft. There is no reason to assume there might be something wrong with the CG in this.

Experience says it will be bad. It's ALWAYS bad. Why would this time be any different? CG isn't used to make things look better in Precure, it's used because it's cheaper.

You only brought up a single example from one show (which also ignores the excellent use of CG in one of the segments of that show's movie). Compare that to the EDs which since 2009 have ranged from good to excellent and movies like Dream Stars and All Stars Memories which likewise looked fantastic (and which you have no reason to assume is a cost measure beyond being blindly cynical). So you're right, it probably won't be any different, because it'll probably look good as experience shows.

Why do you keep talking about the EDs? I'm talking about the CG used in the show itself, for attacks and stuff like that. And yeah, the CG for the EDs has gotten better, but it's still vastly inferior to traditional animation. I don't understand what point you are trying to make.

Because they are the use of CG in the show. There are no other examples of attacks conveyed entirely through CG other than the one provided (and now what look to be the stage sections of You and Idol). And it's not inferior to traditional animation at all, Toei's CG has been incredibly dynamic throughout Precure's history. Again, All Stars Memories is right there.

Wow, Chiaki Kon directed Precure!
Also it looks fun and the Cures are super cute.The CG looks pretty good in the trailer.

For now, I don't see anything that makes me think it would be better than Wonderful (which I didn't like at all, for various reasons). But the PV basically shows nothing, so I need to see more.
Well, at least there's also Princess Orchestra coming.

Princession Orchestra, Himitsu no AiPri, Maebashi Witches; this year really is feasting us with Idol/Singing themed Magical Girls.
