Really weird to frame Enokido as the guy behind an anime adaptation, and not the guy who wrote scripts for Eva, FLCL, and much of Utena.

The Gundam Conference Winter 2024 was emphasizing Yoji Enokido's work as series script supervisor, which he was on Bungo Stray Dogs, Utena, and Sailor Moon S. They even name-dropped Bungo Stray Dogs and Sailor Moon during the talk segment after the announcement.

From the katakana, probably G-Q-X.

Thanks for subbed trailer. And that makes more sense than my current view of saying gwucks.

Man, even taking into account that this is a new TV Gundam, this is the most ridiculously stacked staff list I've seen for a new anime original project in maybe a decade? Beyond excited to check this out

There are so many different ways I can butcher that title it's hilarious. Seems after Iron-Blooded Orphans and G-Witch they wanna do something sillier. Reminds of G-Gundam a bit

It definitely has pedigree. Title could use some work, though.

Truly, they've reached a new high (or low) in absurd gundam nouns. I didn't think such a thing was possible, after Full Frontal.
Anyway, always glad to see a Gundam series really go all-in on a unique style for the titular mechs. And if that Gundam is designed similarly to the rest of the robots in the show, my bank account is happy, too -- I won't have to worry about my massive gunpla backlog getting any bigger.
EDIT: ...And I've preordered the HG. I am weak.

An even more interesting framing point is how the event and the teaser barely mention that Hideaki Anno is co-writing the scripts with Enokido.

I wouldn't be surprised with all the other stuff he's doing if his work on this is largely perfunctory, just giving it a pass but letting Tsurumaki and Enokido do their thing.

This looks really good. I'm most impressed by the soundtrack though. That song is so good I can't wait for them to release it.
