For a while now, I've been working on a script of an anime or manga, whichever you'd like to call it, but I've searched the Internet and found no sites that would review and submit scripts to companies in Japan. What am I missing? Any info. is appreciated.

Sad fact is, anime production companies will not even bother to look at an unsolicited script written by a teenager from America. That's just how it is.
If you want to try, though, the first thing you need is a fluency in the Japanese language (reading and writing), because they aren't going to read a script they need a translator for. Once that's down, you need to find a way to establish decent connections to these companies, and so on from there. |

Another thing that might help is to become a published author before trying to submit the script. There is a chance (although slim) if you became at least a little bit well known that one of the people at the anime studios might recognize your name, and be more inclined to give your script a serious look, which would increase your chance at getting it made into an anime.
Even with name recognition, and decent ties to the compay your chance of having your script made into an anime is still very slim. |
