Personally, I don't really see him as a Spike-esque character anymore...although I did enjoy his more silly performance back in Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure.

Bring in Yoko Kanno back to do original music and I almost wouldn't care who plays Spike Spiegel.

Doing the Red Eye score... does that mean that Faye, Ein, and Ed wont be making an appearance? Or perhaps they are going to plan on making sequels?

Keanu is such a hack. He's the same person in every movie, aside from ol' B and T movies. And as far as the Bruce Willis comment, are you kiddin' me? Age is a factor here. Who says they have to pick someone with a big name? Get someone young who's got a lot of potential. Spike is way too cool for Keanu to even come close to portraying correctly.

I have been fearing this since i saw who was producing. He was good in the matrix because it wasn't necessary for the character to show emotion, he was good in bill in ted because he's mentally retarded, but other than that he f****n sucks!! He is, without question, one of the worst, if not the worst, actors ever.

I would find it hard to imagine that they wouldn't make one without at least Faye

That's harsh.
Consider all of the culinary creativity one can demonstrate with the help of an electric hotplate. Such equipment can, unlike the person with whom you have compared it, be used to create things which actually appeal to my tastes.
