A live-action BGC has already been done: It's called Blade Runner.

I love Bubblegum Crisis, and it's one of the very first anime I ever watched, but a live-action? *shudders* I don't know. I guess it depends on how Dragon Ball does next year. I have yet to see anything anime turned live-action go well. But this one, I'd really like it to do well. I'm wondering how they'd do Priss though. Would the actress really sing, or would they get a stand-in?

Can't say I've heard of that before tonight.

Also, Streets of Fire.
Anyway, unless the movie will be in retro-future, with big 80s hair, I want nothing to do with it. Then again, if Sonada is involved, how bad can it be?

You guys, as usual, got your facts screwed up.
Blade-Runner came out in 1982.
Bubblegum Crisis (Original OVA Series) came out in 1988-1991.
If anything, Bubblegum Crisis ripped off Blade Runner.

We're all well aware of that. The joke still holds.
Both exciting and fearful news. Hopefully they don't muck it up.

Wow... this was my first anime.
I just hope to they do the original Bubblegum Crisis and not 2040.

Yes. That was the joke. Thanks.

Bah! BGC Tokyo2041 will probably come out before the live-action does.

And humor returns in full force
What I found most interesting was the talk about more animated BGC. Could that conceivably be 2041 they're talking about?

ADV can't have THAT much pulling power. Right now, their like a castrated bull; it looks vicious, but no testosterone.

This simultanously has the possibility of becoming spectacularly awesome and becoming EPIC FAIL. Here's hoping for the former.
I agree, though, that the mention of more animated BGC is much more interesting than the live-action.

I would much rather perfer an animated BGC 2041 instead. But you know the funny thing is I don't like the idea of a company in Singapore doing it. For some reason I think only America or Korea could do the project any justice.
