I had heard about the series before, namely the anime version, and was told it wasn't that great or more along the lines of flaudulent, fanservice, and everything else you might expect from a hot, sexy heroine. With what the anime seems to be made out to be, it almost feels like the manga might be doing the same thing. However I am currently in no position to compare the two, since I have not seen the anime.
This is an older series, and brings into light of the previously mentioned sexy heroine who gets the bad guys, and the job done. She also has a sidekick who almost seems programmed or brainwashed, like when I first started reading, but so is not the case. In fact, this girl seems gifted. I'll stop there. However, the series does remind me of the anime series Miami Guns in a way. How? Sexy girls toting guns and kicking some bad guys' butts. I'll be interested though to see how volume 2 plays out, because to me the manga, even with what I might have said earlier, seems promising.

I'm in the opposite position (i.e. I've seen the anime but not read the manga) but from what I can remember from reviews the manga is a fairly straight adaptation of the anime.
Presuming it is, I can't see myself bothering to track it down - I thought the anime was a sub-mediocre fanservice fest with dodgy character designs and an unwelcome loli element. The action sequences were moderately entertaining but I never would have finished the series if ADV UK hadn't got rid of it at £1.00 per volume in their clearout sale.

Pound per volume doesn't seem bad at all, actually. Anyways I've discovered more things about Lila, and she's actually a certain type of android, which explains things about the way she acts and how Najica and company have to tell her how to act and such. According to the encyclopedia there's only three volumes, and I've read the first two already, so I'll get around to reading the third volume tonight and seeing how it goes.

Finished reading the series, and I think that the ending was in a sense like a typical anime ending. However from what my friend told me, this version's ending is different from that of the anime. So now I will probably go into finding the anime and watching it to see what is different about it, and the ending.
