That's Miyuki Nakayama, the creator of Blend S. Not Nakamura.

Super excited for this. The manga is very cute. Hopefully the anime does it justice!

I haven't read it but my friend has and from what she said it sounds like just a comedy about a kid in love with an older boy...
Except the kid has a friend who wants them to have sex

Yeah it really doesn't give me good vibes, I don't trust the story to keep it pure and one sided.
I honestly wish a different BL series got an anime instead

I've read a fair bit of the manga. I understand why people have an issue with the dynamics here, but the relationship itself is one-sided and treated as a cute thing rather than anything sexual and I'd argue it's barely romantic in some ways -- but things could've changed since there are a good 20-30 chapters out since I read anything.
The younger boy just has a crush on an older dude and doesn't know what to do with his feelings. 70ish chapters or so in, the older dude hasn't recuperated anything, but he's aware of the boy's crush and is very self-conscious about it. From what I remember he tries hard to not come across as a pervert, and the boy doesn't understand why he there's anything wrong with the idea of them being together (until he's told).
It's very slice-of-life-y and slow-paced and I think it's the kind of series that would work best with short episodes, otherwise, honestly, there's... not a lot of content there? The chapters are pretty short themselves. So rather than the premise, what's actually there doesn't lend itself well to the standard anime format in my opinion.
Surprised Manga UP! has this given the premise, and honestly, I'm surprised there's been no discourse about this series yet that I've seen, either.
I do agree that I'd have rather seen other BL series get animated but I'm sure people would find things to argue about with just about anything.
(My personal picks would be I Can Hear the Sunspot and I Cannot Reach You. (though it does have the dumb trope of "little sister's first crush is her older brother" which I personally hate), both of which I can see getting animated one day. After We Gazed at the Starry Sky is another series I'd like to see animated but it's only 3 volumes so it'd be better as a movie/OVA I think. Most of the BL manga I've read are ones that are either pretty short or, uh, would cause WAY too much controversy if they were animated due to darker subject matters. And if they did get animated they'd have to be heavily toned down...)

Apparently there's a scene were the teen gets a boner because of the kid so they don't have sex but it does get sexual...
