Took them long enough. At least they'll be adding the first two episodes tomorrow.
Sad it's skipping Europe.

It's available in Italy through Amazon Prime so maybe it has something to do with that.

TOEI actually have the PV with official English subtitles on their international YT channel posted right after the original PV was posted on their JP channel. That confirms that they have plans to license the show but only announced it 1 week late, probably because Amazon Prime licensed this in Italy. Or it is also possible that TOEI slept on the licensing and only decided now.

What's surprising is that this is one week late. Not sure what happened but I'm glad this isn't another Girls Band Cry situation.

That isn’t gonna happen unless it gets some big TV or Netflix deal that will inevitably be just like Glitter Force. The chance of a faithful dub happening back when Funimation was still dubbing 99% of their titles was already close to nil and the odds are very much likely worse with how SonyRoll doesn’t even bother to dub half of the shows they license.

It wont have to be like Glitter Force, Glitter Force has burned and salted any hope of any kids aimed dub. They will dub it uncut this time. And I dont need you to tell me Funimation wouldnt do it and the same goes for Crunchyroll. Toei will commision one on their own like they did with Saint Seiya. Probably funded by that Japane Gov Foundation. FuniRoll would have done a TERRIBLE job anyway. I think Precure is next to have a massive foreign relaunch. It already has happened in Italy, where the dub is uncut (Yeah, they brought the dubs back and they are all uncut.) kids aimed dubs dont really attract kids and repel adults. Something FATAL to such a promising franchise like Precure. We need at least a little bit of everyone be a fan kids, teens, adults. That's the only way it will succeed it needs to stop divisive dubbing like Glitter F orce. Also Hasbro owns the GF brand and they let it lapse. Dubs will have to be uncut for easy Audio swapping on streaming too.

Except aiming it at a kid audience just like the Pokémon, Yokai Watch, Yu-Gi-Oh!, etc. animes is what they were hoping for for YEARS. That Crunchyroll ultimately got PreCure in the end was the definitive sign that Toei had given up all hope of ever making it stand toe-to-toe with other kids franchises over in the American market.

If you're referring to the CG series, the part that Netflix had no part of was only 24 episodes, split across two separate parts that were a year and a half apart. Dubbing PreCure would be on par in scale to dubbing Pokémon or the One Piece. We do not have any proof that

Italy and America are two vastly different markets. Disney literally had to hide away the Bluey episode (a series which, is not that far off from PreCure's primary age demo) about pregnancy from the US Disney+ for crying out loud.

First half, no? Literally we have generations of anime fans who started out with Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, The Cardcaptors, Mew Mew Power, Magical DoReMi, Yokai Watch, etc. in their childhoods. Second half, deal with it, PreCure's primary target demo (otaku crowd was always secondary, never the first; Full Bloom and Mirai Days are only exceptions because they're part of the anniversary celebration wanting to bring back fans who grew up since) is literally under 10 years old. Again, if Toei isn't going to be able to attract the kid audience for a toy commercial property, it's not going to put the big money in the foreign market.
