i would also agree and say the true pinnacle of the villainess genre was all roads lead too doom is very accurate!

and while im in love with the villainess is close third, too many flaws hold back its potential. combined that its a yuri series will more or less prevent that anime from ever getting a season 2 and the rest of that like it will have to resort to reading the source matrrials!

i would say the second pinnacle series of the genre would be "ill become a villainess who goes down in history" where unlike the other series, the protagonist alicia WANTS to be one!

either way, this one definitely got potential.

while they could have easily had his previous life as another rudeus, its a good thing they didn't.

ALTHOUGH, this not the only anime where they had an extremely old man reincarnated as a woman!

Eiyuuou, Bu wo Kiwameru Tame Tenseisu: Soshite, Sekai Saikyou no Minarai Kishi was one as well!

well its a safe bet that bureaucrat to villainess first two eps is a good step in the right direction. hopefully, it wont fall under the same pitfalls as the other isekai type series!

I watched the first episode believing I would quickly tire of the central conceit. Welp, I've got two episodes under my belt now and I am quite liking this. I can't say it won't get overly repetitive for me at some point but the humour and charm so far is carrying me along.

if it becomes enteraining like ill become a villainess who will go down in history or have the sheer zanieness as all roads leads to doom, i can say that you wont have to worry about it becoming repetitive alongs as they stay faithful to the source materials!

I've enjoyed plenty of Villainess anime in my time but this show is really knocking it out of the park with a refreshing premise, a really likeable cast (especially it's gender-flipped lead), stellar voice acting, and great production values!
