I ended up liking the show a lot more than I at first expected to. It started off weak and Rick came across as a sniveling coward but it got a lot better after that. The fight between Broughston and Kelvin was great plus brat Angelica was redeemed.

While I do agree that this series was a bit better than expectations, I still find Richard's rating on anything other than music to be a little generous. I did find this series entertaining enough that I didn't feel like I wasted my time, but I prefer its closest competition (I Parry Everything).

He's 32. You fell for the slander from Angelica's family lol.
I enjoyed this anime. The OP was fantastic and the animation was better than I expected. The latter half of the season in particular punches above its weight class with Kelvin's and Blowstone's arcs. In terms of comparison, Ossan is much better than Parry. If you thought that Rick not comprehending his strength in comparison to others was bad here, then, boy, do not bother with Noor. Ossan is superior as a comedy, a character story, and an inspirational tale.

Haha! You're right! I totally did! They said it so much I believed it and forgot his true age! It has been fixed.

In the summary yes but the review still says he's 40.

That aside this show sounds interesting and decently produced at the very least but I'm not sure I'll end up watching it in the future.

This one turned out to be quite enjoyable. I was definitely happy that they didn't keep Rick unaware of his strength as seen so commonly in other series.

afraod that is not the case.
the joke is still there. just not in your face. in addition, it was the main point of him not wanting to fight broughtson (other than being bat shit scared of him)

What? He's very clearly aware of his strength by, like, episode 3, or something. He's terrified of Broughston because orc dude's another level of ridiculous and has killed him thousands of times.
Was never going to be the best show in a season, but I was shocked by how much I ended up enjoying this series. It had decent fundamentals and the willingness to break away from stale genre conventions was super welcome.
