Now add an streaming platform and there's a brand new competitor to Sony's Crunchyroll, I wonder if that's a possibility.

If anything, it's just strategic business strengthening - most of the recent purchases of TOHO involve the studios with which they are involved with already as partners for a long time, so they just want to keep it the same with the competition (especially from Sony side) circling around. |

If they didn't acquired gkids I would thought the same, I agree on Toho being providers to Sony, Netflix or any other company for now, but I mean that's the path Sentai took and I can see them starting their service either on their own or forming a joint venture. |
