Solo Leveling already has its own Boruto. 
Hopefully the new artist does a good job.

My understanding in that the original Manhwa didn't adapt the entire light novel so I'm guessing this is just continuing where it left off.

Nah, this is adapting an entirely different novel. Solo Leveling did adapt the entire novel, though it did skip minor moments iirc. Ragnarok's a proper sequel novel written by a completely different author and its said to be better than the original from wt I heard.

It's about Shonen Jump Weekly's son (weird name, can't remember well) story. He gets the limelight while pops are out defending the earth externally. Shown to be a brawler (he picks a gauntlet as first weapon) but the pic suggest he used multi types of weaponry unlike his father.
A prologue already out showing Shonen Jump Weekly forcefully put him inside the Igris dungeon to 'awaken' him and the boss inside was the ant guy. Pretending to be menacing tho, cause he actually likes the kid
