If you haven’t watched Nicky, Ricky, Dickey, & Dawn or Umbrella Academy then you’re not going to know who he is…….then again even if he was someone featuring or starring in major works giving the penchant of gatekeeping amongst some fans there would likely still be some incredulousness.

Were they competing with Tekken? Then again, now I expect Like a Dragon and Rebirth to pull these type of ridiculous ads.

Actually LAD8 already did a live-action ad waaaay before this came out.

Is there really that much crossover audience between Persona and Nickelodeon sitcoms?

I can’t say for certain but we can assume some of that audience would’ve invariably found out about Joker in Smash Ultimate or played any one of the Persona games that Atlus put out over the last 5/6 years.
Either way I don’t think it matters with regards to this commercial. Tekken doesn’t have that much cross over with Succession but Brian Cox is narrating the history of the Mishima family. Or Mortal Kombat and System Of A Down etc.
