I’ve always liked when the effort is put into getting the gang back together.

I read that Aya Hirano will be coming into One Piece anime soon...

Honestly, I really wish she would again start being more active as seiyu; she's an incredible talent.

Don't forget Miyano. It seems like he's still struggling to find more work…

Dunno, he seems reasonably active to me, especially considering his golden age was around late 2000s / early 2010s.

Personally, I'm curious as to whether or not Netflix is gonna go back and dub the first two seasons, 'cause I have a feeling they're gonna give that treatment to #3 here.

It would be such a huge missed opportunity if they didn’t go back to dub those.

Reprisals and minor roles hardly count. I rarely see him on any articles on this site these days. He talked about his struggles a while ago. animenewsnetwork.com/interest/2023-02-08/veteran-voice-actor-mamoru-miyano-talks-about-the-struggles-he-faces-finding-work/.194634

Um, I'm not sure how either of you missed it, but there are already some leaked dubbed credits for season 1 on this very site.

Well, what can I say, it's not his era anymore, he is 40 now, and from now on, he will mostly be reprising his roles, or getting the supporting ones.

There are younger seiyu than him, and I suppose they cost less too.

That said, I think he'll be fine.

And yet people like Tomokazu Sugita and Jun Fukuyama are still regularly getting work, definitely more than Miyano has gotten recently, I'd say. It's like there's a double standard in the JP industry or something. I have absolutely nothing against him at all personally, but I also lowkey get sick of seeing Makoto Furukawa's name attached to brand new projects sometimes, because I feel like I see him way too often.

I feel like Miyano got like 2-3 roles announced lately.

Recently it was announced that he will inherit the role of Suguru from Kinnikuman series.

Myself, I never watched Kinnikuman, but I believe Suguru is pretty iconic character in Japan.

He's also in the middle of a divorce, might be a factor.

Been meaning to get into this series for a time. I'm glad the first two seasons of Kimi ni Todoke are on Netflix.

Miyuki Sawashiro, Yūichi Nakamura, Mamoru Miyano, Aya Hirano, and Daisuke Namikawa are among my favorite Japanese voice actors, so very interested in watching these three seasons in 2024.
