Looks like an interesting spin on the second half of Alicization, and it looks like we'll get to fight most of the Dark Territory generals and, of course, Miller.

Just think, we could have had a remake of the first four .hack games but instead we got another game milking a franchise based on wish fulfillment and sexual assault

The SAO games are vastly better than the first four .hack games. The first four .hack games have a mediocre story and play like trash. To release them in a state that they're not thoroughly awful would require a FF7:Re style remake, but .hack isn't anywhere near popular enough to warrant that.
