Why are so many people leaving us so soon? I really liked Yanada-san as Shuten Doji.
 I hope his friends and family will be okay.

I know you guys were in a hurry, but you should probably change the image used. Yanada voiced Akagi in the original Slam Dunk, but isn't voicing him in the upcoming movie.

He also voiced Benkei in versions of Getter Robo since Armageddon in 1998.
For Capcom's Jojo's Bizarre Adventure fighting game, he voiced Jotaro Kujo. Those performances in particular I'm very familiar with. What a shame, too young...RIP |

This begs a question. An upcoming manga adaptation case in Detective Conan feature Andre very significantly. Since his actual date of passing was not revealed, I am not sure who they had to voice Andre? Was Yanada not well for a while already so they know and casted someone else or this passing is relatively recent so he finished recording already? VA recording can happen very early. What I do know is it is not possible to cut Andre's role from this case and that this case is likely going to air first thing January. |

I have the same question. Hope that this case was recorded prior to his death. If not, they have to find a replace for Camel. So sad news... I was shocked. He received cancer treatment... |

Just found out this horrible news. He was one of those wonderful prolific character actors.
Offhand, I remember him best for the Shredder in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles anime. Also his character Kanji Igari from Baki, based on real-life wrestler Kanji Inoki who also just died. Really loved his role as the Black Bear Cat in Chi's Sweet Home. Such a lovable character and contrast to the villains and tough guys he usually played. |

This was so unexpected. Yanada voiced many great characters. Shuten Douji from YST (Ironic that he voices in the Shuten Douji anime). Rock Thunderheart from ZoE. Andreas Darlton from CG and many more. Thank you for impacting the lives of many.

Another one leaves us. What is wrong with this November!? I remember Yanada making me laugh through his performance on Bleach. Tessai wasn't exactly a fan-favorite, but he was a memorable side character that would've made the Urahara crew a lot less memorable if he hadn't been there. RIP, Yanada-san.
I guess now that Tessai will have to be recast should he appear again. What a drag. |
