While I never could get into the manga it always sucks in my eyes to see something end/being canned before it was intended. Hope some day it does get the remaining chapters the fans want.

i could never get into this series for those exact reasons. i'm all for trashy horny but this series goes way too overboard with the uncomfortable depravities so i can understand why it might be causing home life difficulties. |

Depends on who they’re being horny towards also depends on whether they already in a relationship or not.

I have to wonder what was going through Kentari Yabuki's mind when he was drawing "To Love-Ru: Darkness" seeing as how he also has a kid: a daughter. |
Funny you mention that since I was told he and his daughter don't have a good relationship since he is drawing girls her age.

I also heard somewhere that Haruna (one of the series' heroines) was modelled after his wife.

Is there any source at all for that? That sounds like one of those bogus rumors people make up to spread around to justify their dislike of someone and their work. Yabuki just had a second child last month.

*Thugnificent voice* What kind of personal issue at home could force him to quit the culture?
I hope this isn't the end, but for right now... Noblesse oblige. I thank you for your service as a savior.

Thanks for this. I'm going to read it now. Already loved TLR, btw.

With manga, you can't really get away with drawing flatter chests because it won't really change the corresponding age of whos reading those books. So in a way it makes keeping the girls busty (or effectively older) less risque.

Yep there it is again. Any man that love sex is considered a legend or a man of culture. Double standard if its a woman.
Nobody can know 100% what sort of family circumstarces that caused him to quit. Just wish him the best and let it go. Maybe he'll return to this job or he'll deviate into another subset or something else in the future who knows.

It's ironic that you should mention this, as this manga is indeed notorious for double standards, especially for its outrageous devaluation of lesbian relationships and the perception of gay or bisexual women as "pure". And the further, the worse, especially the image of cheating and dubious consent. He also fetishizes lesbians and despises men so much that I'm surprised the author even got into a relationship. Overall it's a good work, but I understand him if he can no longer write this because of his daughter.

It's always a shame whenever mangaka lose their passion for drawing. I hope he can give it a second thought and return to the industry.

I don't think it's a matter of passion. Rather circumstances, given the nature of his work and family problems. He has no problems with passion, as he has returned many times after canceled works.
