While the new visual for Myne seems a little off in relative body proportions, dang if she doesn't look cuter! A little over a month now and we will be back in Ehrenfest...

I wonder how much content this season will cover. I hope this third season will be able to cover some stuff from part 2 volume 4 of the light novels

Maaya Sakamoto? I hope they still have some money left for the actual animation
@ab2143, I believe it's supposed to cover the rest of part 2.

This is the last time I remind ANN to include in Ascendance of a Bookworm articles that Sentai released the first 2 seasons and OVA's on Blu-ray.

Five weeks is a long time to wait for probably my most-anticipated series of the year. . .

This is definitely our most anticipated anime of the year. Everyone in my household is rereading the light novels as well as pouncing on the latest chapters from J-Novel every week...

What are the odds this is ever fully animated?

Hahaha... right? I have to fight to keep myself from going straight to the new chapters after finishing each book... it's not easy! Especially knowing the next boom is the last one in Part 4.
Especially when they keep bringing up bloody carnivals -- I can't decide if it's just a joke, or foreshadowing.

There are scenes past where this next season will end that just NEED to be animated. Like I was trying to direct them in my head while reading them, cackling.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE I want to see the creation of Lessy animated, and Ferdinand's reactions.

That sounds a lot like it’s a translation of “chi-matsuri”, a Japanese idiom which is equivalent to “bloodbath” in English. Which makes it seem less weirdly specific.

Can't wait for this... Spring 2022 season is looking stacked.
So far the adaptation has been pretty good, trimming stuff that didn't break the world building.
Just hoping it's not disrupted/delayed by Covid or Putin.
Now trying to work out how far through part 2 they'll get....

It's less the specificity and more (not really spoilers but oh well) that Myne gets really scary when she's angry, hasn't gotten angry in a while, and has way more mana to be scary with right now. And considering that something always happens at the end of a Part....

Unfortunately you are thinking of Part 3 of the light novel and Part 3 of the anime will only be adapting Part 2 Volumes 3 & 4 which sadly means Lessy will have to wait for Part 4 of the anime (assuming it happens, fingers crossed!)

Yes EXACTLY which is why I'm eagerly hoping for a fourth season in addition to the season 3 goodness.
The series just gets better with time and the worldbuilding goes in so many great directions as the story continues. I'm very pleased with the trailer and the released stills.
Fundamentally, this is a series that is isekai done really well - with Myne's isekai creating all kinds of very serious dangers for her, and the innovations she brings are both welcome but also destabilizing in ways that can potentially harm people she cares about. Yet it is also fundamentally optimistic even so.
Myne is driven by simple desires: to read books, to protect her family, and survive, in pretty much that order. And yet, the world is not ready for that, for her, as a frail commoner girl. Her mere act of survival will change everything, regardless of her intent.
It's got enough action and characters and depth to support many more seasons even just from what is translated in the LN so far, and I hope all of it is eventually animated in a nice, long, and fully realized total work.
